ROADTest
The ROADTest is a flexible training programme, which culminates in a test. Successful candidates receive a transferable ROADTest Licence as affirmation of their achievements.
The cost therefore depends upon the training requirements of individuals within an organisation. For example, certain drivers may opt to take the test without any prior training, whereas for others, a flexible three-day training programme may precede the test. The price is obviously dictated by the training/test option selected:
What are the options and which one is right for my drivers?
Option One
3 days of training, with the test on the third day.
Suitable for:
Those who have not had any previous driver training or those whose driver training was over 3 years ago. Training can be taken all at one time or spread over three years as part of a long-term training programme. |
Option Two
2 days of training, with the test on the second day.
Suitable for:
Existing RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders Bronze Grade holders, or those who have had previous driver training within the last 3 years. Training can be taken all at one time or spread over two years as part of a long-term training programme. |
Option Three
1 day of training, with the test on the same day.
Suitable for:
Existing RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders Gold/Silver Grade holders or equivalent. (Equivalent qualifications include Driving Standards Agency Cardington Test, Police Class One, Institute of Advanced Motorists (limited driver faults) and occupational driver courses e.g. emergency services.) Please note - In the event that a driver does not reach a competent standard in each of the training modules the test will not proceed and the remaining time will be spent training, therefore an additional day will need to be booked to take the test. |
Option Four
Test Only
Drivers can opt for the ‘Test Only’ package. However, RoSPA caution that the likelihood of passing without any prior training is slim.
Total Cost:
£70
