This course is usually aimed at Statutory, Community and Voluntary organisations. However, everybody who has an interest in child accident prevention is welcome.
Who should attend:
All those involved with families and their children. From community groups and health professionals to statutory organisations, all have a role to play in the prevention of childhood accidents in the home.

What will they learn:
Falls, burns, scalds, poisoning and fire are the biggest cause of serious and fatal injuries in the home. This course will show effective measures, both behavioural and environmental, to reduce the risk of injury from these accidents.

Syllabus includes:
● Identifying which children are most at risk and why
● Child development in relation to accidents
● Accident prevention in the home
● Risk assessment in the home
