NEW RoSPA TRAINING COURSES BOOST SAFETY KNOWLEDGE
Two new courses have further strengthened the renowned occupational health and safety training package provided by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
RoSPA is now offering the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health Managing Risk and Managing Client/Contractor Relationships courses.
They are expected to be popular with people seeking to gain vital knowledge about these specific safety subjects and wanting to enhance their professional qualifications.
The Society already runs the IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely courses - in addition to NEBOSH training and RoSPA courses covering all aspects of health and safety from power press tool setting to driver training.
Managing Risk will be valuable for anyone with health and safety responsibilities and will be of particular interest to directors and senior staff in charge of implementing effective corporate management systems. It will also be useful for those wishing to appreciate risk management in more detail – such as insurance managers and brokers and internal auditors. Delegates will gain an understanding of risk, risk management and risk analysis techniques.
Managing Client/Contractor Relationships is designed for people who have not had formal training in dealing with contractors, or who wish to build on experience gained from the Managing Safely course. It will help them to understand the criminal and common law implications of employing contractors, the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and the importance of selection methods, monitoring and reviewing completed contracts.
The four-day Managing Risk courses will begin on February 25 and September 30, 2003.
The three-day Managing Client/Contract Relationships courses will begin on March 4, June 3 and October 7, 2003.
