Defensive Driver Training (LGVs)
| Who should attend? All those who drive an LGV/PCV for work purposes. Delegates must have studied the ‘Highway Code’. What will they learn? The correct attitude in the driving environment, a good understanding of how to maximise safety margins and a systematic approach to the hazards found in town, country and motorway. Course content includes: ● Group discussion on the causes of risk within the context of LGV operations ● Attitudinal strengths and weaknesses ● Accident statistics ● Improvement or perception skills ● Practical coaching sessions covering the application of defensive driving principles encountered in everyday driving ● Individual driving assessment with defensive driving coaching and advice ● Validation of key learning points and key areas for improvement with performance report. |
